On 24 Feb 2026, Generation Alive as a member and chair of the Network On Ending Child Marriage In Zambia which has a membership of 67 organisations joined the Gender Division - GD orientation on the National Strategy to End Child Marriage (2026–2030) and its M and E Framework.

This Strategy is our roadmap.
The M and E is our accountability tool.

Now it is all about action.
Tracking results.
Protecting girls.

To the Gender Division, our 67 Network members, and our all-weather partners Unicef Zambia and UNFPA Zambia we thank you for standing with girls and supporting the work we do to end child marriage and protecting girls.

To our Power to Girls Advocates, the work you do is amazing.

Together we will contribute to a Zambia free of child marriage.

Yesterday was Day 10 of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. We underscored the fact that GBV is not an vague issue but, a daily reality for women and girls across Zambia. It also demands courage, accountability, and action.

Child Justice Forum, supported by Save the Children, hosted an information desk at the Lusaka Subordinate Court buildings under the theme “UNiTE to End Online Violence Against Girls and Women.”

Generation Alive joined fellow activists and partners to raise awareness on GBV and expose the growing risks of human trafficking in our communities.

Throughout the day, we engaged different stakeholders including men at the desk which is a clear reminder that men, too, are searching for understanding, accountability, and pathways to transformation.

We shared IEC materials, challenged harmful norms, and affirmed that ending GBV offline and online is a collective responsibility.

Today, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we join the global community in commencing the observance of 16 Days Of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, under the theme “UNiTE to End Online Violence Against Women and Girls.”

This year, we amplify our commitment to addressing online violence targeting women and girls. Daily, women and girls are subjected to cyberbullying, harassment, threats, account breaches, non-consensual image sharing, deepfakes, hate speech, and digital stalking. The repercussions of such actions are significant, damaging and far-reaching.

At Generation Alive, our ongoing efforts are focused on:

-Establishing secure online environments for girls and young women.

-Enhancing digital literacy, promoting feminist leadership and digital safety.

-Providing support to survivors of both online and offline violence.

-Continued advocacy for robust policy frameworks and greater accountability.

-Addressing harmful societal norms within communities and digital spaces.

Over the next 16 days and beyond we encourage collective action. Violence is preventable, and silence cannot be justified no matter what.

We invite you to join us in the initiative to end online violence against women and girls.
