MEN TO BE BANNED FROM BEING MIDWIVES

The president of the 3RD Liberation Movement Party, Enock Roosevelt Tonga, has announced that if elected, his administration will prohibit men from working as midwives.

Mr Tonga has stated that any male found practicing as a midwife would face a prison sentence of not less than 20 years, arguing that the profession should be reserved exclusively for women.

He has justified his position by pointing to the term “midwife,” saying it does not include men, and claimed that male practitioners should not be allowed to see women’s nakedness under the guise of providing healthcare.
