PRESIDENT ELECT MR. EDGAR C. LUNGU URGED TO CONSIDER A DISABLED REPRESENTATION IN HIS NEW CABINET

The president elect Mr. Edgar C. Lungu has been urged to consider including a disabled person in his new cabinet so that people with disabilities have a representation. Born Short Living Tall, a nongovernmental organisation whose main objective is to champion the interests of women, children and the disabled executive director Ntalasha Chisha in his statement released to Luapula Today Newspaper also said that, there is no doubt that many people wanted Mr Lungu to continue based on what he had promised the people of Zambia during campaigns and his love for God. Mr. Ntalasha has further urged the president elect to consider making education free for the disabled from primary through to university.

In the same statement, Mr. Ntalasha has also said that Born Short Living Tall (BSLT) organisation is very much impressed with the outreach works done by the First Lady Esther Lungu through her Foundation to help women, disabled and children. “We would like to make an appeal through her office to incorporate an empowerment fund for the disabled to enable them start businesses to help better their lives.” He said.
