Community in Action at Thorngrove Hospital

Last Friday, we partnered with the Thorngrove Residents’ Association for a clean-up campaign at Thorngrove Hospital.

Together, we worked hard to clear litter, restore order, and breathe new life into the hospital grounds. This effort was about showing solidarity, pride, and care for a space that serves countless families in our community.

What stood out most was the unity among residents, youth, and partners working side by side. We demonstrated that when we come together, we can improve our environment and support our institutions.

A big thank you to the Thorngrove Residents’ Association for the invitation and to every volunteer who contributed their time and energy. This is more than just a clean-up; it’s a reminder that community pride and spirit form the foundation of healthier, stronger neighbourhoods.

Our hairdressing course typically covers both theory and practical skills, ranging from hair and scalp care to cutting, styling, coloring, and chemical treatments. It also includes customer service, hygiene, and business skills to prepare learners for salon work or entrepreneurship- to start own salons either through rent a chair, rented space for a salon spar or through mobile hairdressing.

After graduation, you can work in salons or open your own hairdressing business.

✨On Friday last week, we were pleased to host the Career Advisers Association of Zimbabwe - CAAZ at Bulawayo Projects Centre - BPC.

👥Ten participants under the auspices of CAAZ from Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, and Matabeleland South joined us to learn more about our work empowering young people. Their visit will enable them to share information and amplify our work amongst youths in the areas where they work.
