THE BAPTISM BY THE DISCIPLES OF JESUS🤔
JOHN 4:1-2When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,(Though Jesus himself baptized not,but his disciples,) He left Judaea,and departed again into Galilee.We explained that John the Baptist began water baptism as a means to prepare the Jews through the preaching of repentance which was about changing their mind to believe on the coming Messiah and also to introduce Jesus to Israel.Therefore,water baptism was a practice in the Old Testament by John the Baptist before the death and resurrection of Christ.However,John and his disciples continued this act of water baptism after Christ had been introduced to Israel.John’s ministry was to prepare the way for Christ to come.This means that when Christ came and was introduced,John’s ministry should have ended as the last and greatest prophet of the Old Testament.John had disciples and Jesus also had disciples.There were some occasions that Jesus’ disciples saw and desired some of the activities of John and his disciples🤔One time the disciples of Jesus came to him to be taught how to pray like the disciples of John.One of the things Jesus’ disciples copied from John and his disciples was water baptism.It is recorded that when Jesus got to know that his disciples were baptizing people more than John,they left Judea to Galilee to avoid the influence of John and his disciples.It is very important to note that Jesus never baptized anybody in water throughout his ministry on earth.Jesus would have at least baptized somebody if water baptism was so important for salvation.In the early part of the church in the book of Acts,some of the practices of the Old Testament continued until they increased in knowledge before stopping them.Some of these practices were circumcision,the feast of Passover and unleavened bread,the Feast of Pentecost,water baptism,and others.Water baptism was therefore practised in the book of Acts by the early apostles but however,in the epistles,there was no mention of it being practised.Apostle Paul later said in 1Corinthians 1:17 that “For Christ sent me not to baptize,but to preach the gospel:not with wisdom of words,lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”Apostle Paul,therefore,excluded himself from the practice of water baptism when the revelation of Christ increased.Say this with me,I have been baptized by the Holy Spirit into Christ when I believed the gospel.Read Luke 11:1,Acts 16:3,Acts 10:44-48.Dont miss tomorrow service for anything and be on time 9-1pm but tinosvika na8am for preparations including praise team.BE BLESSED FOREVERMORE

Hear this👉When a man knows the spirit of truth in God's word,challenges become a way of showing how small problems can be.Apostle Paul and Silas in prison but where still praising God.They were not praising God for God to release them from jail,No.That's why even when the prison doors were opened by Angels,Paul and Silas didn't escape🤔.They were praising God because of the joy that salvation brings.Once you understand the joy of salvation,you will be in prison yet you are free and those who locked you up are instead the ones in prison💃.No prison is greater than bieng in the prison of sin and death🙆‍♀️Jesus Christ came and paid the price for humanity's release from sin and death,and once you believe in his resurrection,you are automatically free and can never taste death.There is no problem greater than sin and death.When you know that you have been delivered from sin and death,every problem or challenge become what makes you rejoice💃If as a Christian you still go into depression, it's because you haven't known what it means to be born again.John 16:32 Behold,the hour cometh,yea,is now come,that ye shall be scattered,every man to his own,and shall leave me alone:and yet I am not alone,because the Father is with me.They all left Jesus Christ,but God was still with Him.This is the worst moment in life,when people leave you,especially your very close friends and family.They all left Jesus Christ but Jesus Christ was not alone.God in Christ forever so are they who are born again,we are not alone nomatter who abandons us.John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you,that in me ye might have peace.In the world ye shall have tribulation:but be of good cheer;I have overcome the world.In Christ we have peace over any challenge that could come our way.Christ has defeated the mother and father of all challenges or problems which is sin and death.Do you know without sin and death,satan and demons can't work on this Earth🤔Think about it!Maswerasei👏👏👏
