Dr. Matsanga: ALIGN THE LAW WITH REALITY.

Pan African Forum Chairman Dr. David Matsanga had foreseen the current South African crisis and wrote to South African authorities earlier not to jail Zuma but his advice was not heeded to. In his reaction to the current chaos in South Africa, Matsanga has adviced other African Judiciaries to focus more on alternative disputes resolution rather than ignoring political realities in their judgements.

International Trade in the New Dispensation

☑️The latest data shows that 82.9% of exports now go to South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Mozambique, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya, Eswatini, Namibia, Hong Kong, Malawi and China.

☑️ 74% of exports by value are delivered to fellow African countries while 23.9% land in Asia.

☑️The remainder goes to North America, Europe, Australia and Latin America.

☑️ Key exporters include Border Timbers (forestry products), Colcom Foods Limited (meat processing), Cotton Company of Zimbabwe (cotton lint and cottonseed), Dairibord Zimbabwe Ltd (milk, other dairy products), Hippo Valley Estate (sugar), Sable Chemicals (fertilizer, ammonia nitrate), Tanganda Tea (tea, coffee)

☑️The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade & its agency Zim Trade aim to increase export earnings to US$7 billion by 2023, and to US$14 billion by 2030.

☑️Diplomatic missions now according primacy to economic diplomacy to open and expand markets for local products
