Supreme Court Landmark Judgement

The Supreme Court of India has affirmed that menstrual hygiene is inseparable from dignity, health, and the fundamental right to life. This historic decision recognises that access to safe menstrual products, sanitation, and education is not merely a social issue but a human rights and public health priority.
Menstrual health is essential for gender equality, education, and the well-being of girls and women worldwide. No one should face stigma, discrimination, or barriers simply because of a natural biological process.
This judgment sends a powerful global message:
Menstrual dignity must be protected, and menstrual poverty must end.
