The Ministry of Health and Child Care Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Department, OPHID, local stakeholders and global partners today kicked off a vital 3-day review meeting in Bulawayo, to finalize the draft National NCD Strategy 2026–2030. This costed, evidence-based framework is crucial for strengthening our national response to NCDs, from prevention to treatment.
The meeting will be anchored on these key focus areas:
1) Reviewing & Refining: Mapping current NCD interventions, gaps and strategic goals.
2) Financing & Sustainability: Structuring domestic and external funding models.
3) Implementation: Harmonizing provincial and national responsibilities for maximum impact.
4) Finalizing: Preparing the roadmap for formal validation and Ministerial endorsement.
Brought together with the support from Sanofi we are committed to building a healthier, more resilient Zimbabwe!
