Day 1 of the PBSE Peer Educator Training by YDIT under the Building Joyful Futures Project ignited youth-led SRHR advocacy in Zimbabwe. Grounded in Rudo, Hunhu neHutano, participants explored PBSE foundations through engaging activities like body mapping and the snowball exercise, reinforcing that safer s*x is pleasurable s*x and rooted in self-love.
Young people reflected on Ubuntu values, strengthening their understanding of dignity, respect, and healthy relationships. The session also built confidence and practical facilitation skills, while strengthening youth-led networks in Mutare to deliver culturally responsive PBSE and navigate community resistance with confidence.
