It is never OK to be aggressive (unless in physical danger). Nor is it practical to start crying in certain circumstances, like work meetings, etc.
However, the physical energy of an emotion does need to be discharged. This needs to happen in a safe and supportive environment. If you can create this environment for yourself, please give yourself the space to express those held back bodily impulses.
