Doctor Newton has served as a civilian medical officer for the Australian Navy and also has military service experience as a Surgeon Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, where he also trained in underwater and survival medicine.

He was awarded a NATO service medal.

Doctor Newton has also completed further Professional Development in Laser and Cosmetic Medicine, Skin Cancer Management, Sports Medicine and Internal Medicine, as well as comprehensive and focused training in Po***ck Technique™ circumcision. His diverse medical experience also includes work as an emergency room physician in several Australian hospitals.
