Hip Opener with Trunk Rotation Combo

❇️Deep Squat with Thoracic Rotation:
This great mobility combo works on opening the hips, relaxing and lengthening the pelvic floor, and increasing mobility in the mid back.

🎥1. Lower down into a deep squat position
- Hands cross over, holding the doorway
•Rotating to the right: left hand holds doorway as right arm opens up to the right.
•Rotating to the left: right hand holds doorway as left arm opens up to the left

🎥2. Modification- supported seated position on a block

✅Perform the stretch for 30 seconds, aiming for 8-10 reps of alternating arms.

I'm now offering physiotherapy and pelvic health physiotherapy services on Wednesdays and Fridays in the heart of the Kingsway.

Examples of injuries and conditions treated, but not limited to include:
* Neck & Back pain (including nerve conditions)
* Joint related pain (ie/ shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, foot)
* Tendonitis
* Muscle strains, Ligament Sprains
* Sport Related Injuries

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy:
• Bladder and/or bowel incontinence, urgency, or frequency
• Constipation
• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Pelvic muscle tightness or weakness
• Pain with sexual activity
• Pain in the low back, pelvis, or tailbone region
• Prenatal & Postpartum Conditions


My treatment approach consists of various techniques such as manual therapy, soft tissue release, acupuncture/dry needling and exercise therapy.
Additionally, as a registered yoga teacher, I enjoy integrating yoga as part of one's physiotherapy treatment for those curious or interested in yoga.
