What a proud and memorable Canada Day celebration at Forestview! 🇨🇦🍁 Last week, we were honoured to welcome Michael Kerzner, Member of Provincial Parliament for York Centre, who joined our residents for an engaging and inspiring speech. Our community came together for a wonderful Canada Day brunch and BBQ, live music, and an afternoon filled with national pride, great food, and even better company. It was a beautiful reminder of the country we call home and the diverse, vibrant community we’ve built together at Forestview. This month, we’re honored to shine a light on Myrna, whose incredible 39-year journey as a Personal Support Worker is a true reflection of compassion, dedication, and heart.

From a young age, Myrna felt a deep connection to older generations, drawn to their stories, wisdom, and strength. That connection grew into a lifelong passion for senior care. For Myrna, this work isn’t just a career, it’s a calling rooted in respect, dignity, and love.

At Forestview, Myrna found more than a workplace, she found a community that shares her values. She was drawn to the warmth, positivity, and supportive environment where residents are not just cared for, but truly cherished.

What makes Myrna special is the way she connects with residents. She doesn’t just provide care, she builds relationships, shares laughter, listens deeply, and creates moments of comfort and joy. She understands that the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference.
Guided by integrity and accountability, Myrna takes immense pride in always doing what is right for her residents. Her decades of experience have taught her that exceptional care comes from teamwork, trust, and treating every resident like family.

What an inspiring day! 💜 Our Forestview residents proudly took part in the Alzheimer’s Walk to honour those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and to support those who care for them. Together, we raised over $800 for the Alzheimer Society—a meaningful contribution toward research, support, and awareness. We’re so proud of our residents for showing up with heart, purpose, and unwavering compassion. Every step taken and every dollar raised makes a difference. Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, and supported this incredible cause! 💜✨
